Marcus began his recruitment career in 2003, joining a global recruitment firm based in Nottingham, UK. In 2006 he moved to Sydney, joining a specialist Accounting recruitment firm where he spent the next 9 years in a number of roles including Principal Consultant and Office Manager.

Since 2009 Marcus worked in Parramatta, covering the western Sydney market and specialising in recruiting temporary & permanent staff in the following areas:

·         Accounts Payable (entry level to senior manager)

·         Credit/ Accounts Receivable (entry level to senior manager)

·         Payroll (entry level to senior manager)

·         Assistant Accountants

·         Graduate Accountants

·         Bookkeepers

·         Newly qualified CA/CPA Accountants

Client s and candidates that work with Marcus are likely to say that he's different to other recruiters they know. He listens, he's friendly, approachable and not a typical 'salesman' at all. Marcus comes from a customer service background, which is always evident in his work and has allowed him to build a very loyal network of clients and candidates that come back to him time and time again.

Due to his market knowledge and strong candidate networks, Marcus has a particularly strong track record when working with large shared service centers. For example, he single handedly recruited the entire credit/ AR function (85+ staff), Accounts Payable team (10+ staff) and Assistant Accountants (10+ staff) for a well known global corporation as well as being the 'go to recruiter' for two other large shared service functions, adding a further 60+ staff in the last 12 months. 

When not at work, Marcus spends most of his time kayaking around Cronulla or mounting biking through the Royal National Park. He's also a cricket tragic who still follows the England team whilst sipping warm beer.
