About our client We are partnering with a well-established organisation based in North Sydney to find an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a busy, high-performing finance team with a genuine view to a permanent role or contract extension for the right candidate.

About the role Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end accounts receivable function. This is a hands-on, high-volume role where accuracy, communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities will be key to your success.
Key responsibilities
- Full management of the accounts receivable ledger, including invoicing and cash receipts
- Proactive follow-up on outstanding debts via phone and email
- Allocation and reconciliation of customer payments
- Resolution of billing disputes and account discrepancies
- Monthly AR reporting and aged debtor analysis
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer account records
- Liaising with internal teams to resolve invoice queries efficiently
- Supporting month-end close processes as required
About you
- Solid experience in an accounts receivable or similar transactional finance role
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
- Confident and professional communicator, with experience managing collections
- Proficient in accounting software
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Immediately available or on a short notice period
