Job Description

We’re looking for a highly analytical and driven Technical Business Analyst to join a fast-growing SaaS business as part of a strategic partnership with one of Australia’s leading banks.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the design and delivery of next-generation financial workflows across onboarding, payments, reconciliation, and fee modelling.

You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, UI/UX, Finance, Implementations) and be a key counterpart to senior bank stakeholders to streamline and scale critical processes.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead structured discovery with internal teams and bank stakeholders to define and prioritise requirements.
  • Map current- and future-state processes (onboarding, payments, settlements, reconciliations) and design controls.
  • Build and maintain pricing/fee models to support product, finance, and operational decisions.
  • Analyse transaction and exception data; recommend levers to improve success rates and reduce manual touchpoints.
  • Produce high-quality BRDs/PRDs, interface/API specs, and test cases to enable clear, fast delivery.
  • Support backlog grooming, define UAT strategy, run testing, and guide new features through to go-live.
  • Provide crisp updates and executive summaries for senior stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
  • 4–7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Operations Analyst in payments, banking, fintech, or SaaS.
  • Strong process modelling (BPMN/UML), requirements engineering, and data analysis skills.
  • Advanced Excel, intermediate+ SQL, and Power BI experience (Python/R is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with reconciliation & settlement workflows and direct debit operations.
  • Familiarity with Australian payment rails (BECS, NPP/Osko, BPAY, cards) preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and structured communication skills.
Why join
  • Be part of a collaborative, pragmatic, and outcome-driven team.
  • Work on meaningful, high-impact projects with exposure to senior stakeholders.
  • Competitive salary package and the chance to influence a critical strategic partnership.
If you’re ready to thrive in a dynamic, growth-focused business and make a real impact, apply now with your CV.
