Finance & Commercial Manager

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available to join a rapidly expanding organisation that is investing heavily in its people, systems and future growth.

As the business continues to expand its operations, asset portfolio and service offerings, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance leadership team through a major transformation program.

This is an 18-month contract offering genuine commercial exposure, leadership responsibility and the opportunity to make a lasting impact within a collaborative, high-performing finance team.

In this role you'll take ownership of financial reporting while partnering closely with the Commercial Finance team to deliver budgeting, forecasting and business insights.

You'll also mentor a small team and help drive process improvements throughout a period of significant organisational change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end close process and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting
  • Prepare management reports, cash flow forecasts and financial analysis
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
  • Coordinate external audits and statutory compliance
  • Oversee BAS, FBT and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Partner with stakeholders to provide commercial insights and decision support
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
About You

You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment and partnering with stakeholders across the business.

You'll bring:
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • 5+ years' experience in financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong experience leading month-end close, budgeting and forecasting
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Exposure to finance systems implementations or transformation projects will be highly regarded
  • Experience within aged care, retirement living, healthcare or a similarly regulated industry is advantageous.
