Exciting opportunity to join an organisation undergoing significant expansion across its operating asset portfolio.
With continued investment in systems, infrastructure and operational growth, the business is seeking a commercially minded Finance Systems Analyst who can bridge the gap between finance, technology and operations.
This is a highly visible role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, building scalable financial processes and partnering with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Working closely with a variety of stakeholders, you will play a critical role in improving reporting capability, integrating systems and supporting the financial modelling and setup of newly acquired or established business units.
The Opportunity This is not a traditional accounting role. It is a true hybrid position requiring strong tech capability alongside commercial and finance acumen.
You will be responsible for: - Writing SQL scripts from scratch to connect and integrate multiple systems
- Building and maintaining financial models and P&Ls for new and expanding business operations
- Supporting system transformation and automation initiatives across the organisation
- Developing reporting solutions and dashboards that drive operational and financial insights
- Partnering with Executive and operational stakeholders to influence business decisions
- Improving data integrity, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency across finance systems
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting frameworks
- Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and automate manual processes
About You To succeed in this role, you will combine technical systems capability with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
You will ideally have:
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
- Experience in a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems, Commercial Finance, or similar role
- Strong SQL capability with the ability to write queries and scripts independently
- Experience integrating data across multiple systems and platforms
- Advanced Excel skills with exposure to Power BI, VBA, or Python highly regarded
- Strong commercial acumen and financial modelling capability
- Confidence engaging with Executive-level stakeholders and translating technical information into commercial insights
