Payroll Compliance Manager
Lead payroll compliance. Drive remediation. Strengthen controls.
We’re partnering with a large, national organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Compliance Manager to lead payroll governance, audit, remediation, and payroll accounting activities across complex Australian and international payroll operations.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll take ownership of payroll compliance frameworks, lead remediation projects, strengthen controls, and partner closely with HR, Finance, IT, and Legal to ensure payroll accuracy and integrity across the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading payroll compliance, audit & remediation programs
- Managing payroll risk, controls & governance frameworks
- Driving continuous improvement across payroll processes & systems
- Overseeing payroll accounting, reconciliations & statutory reporting
- Leading a specialist team across compliance, audit & payroll accounting
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver compliant, sustainable payroll solutions
What we’re looking for:
- Deep knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, EBAs & awards
- Strong payroll compliance, audit & remediation experience
- Experience with payroll systems such as SAP, UKG or ADP
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management & leadership capability
- Ability to navigate complex payroll environments with confidence
This opportunity is currently offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, which could extend. A base salary between $160k - $180k + Super is on offer, depending on your previous levels of experience.
