Job Description
Payroll Systems Test Analyst
Are you a payroll professional with a passion for compliance, testing, and problem-solving?
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Systems Test Analyst to play a critical role in validating payroll system configurations and ensuring employees are paid accurately and compliantly.
Working within a large and complex payroll environment, you will be responsible for testing payroll rules, interpreting Enterprise Agreements and Awards, and validating payroll outcomes across a variety of scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute payroll test scripts and scenarios
- Validate payroll calculations including overtime, penalties, allowances, leave, public holidays, and other entitlements
- Interpret Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and payroll legislation
- Identify, document, and track system defects
- Work closely with payroll, systems, and external vendors to resolve issues
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and payroll system enhancements
- Maintain detailed testing documentation and evidence
About You: To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong payroll experience within a complex environment
- Experience testing payroll, workforce management, or time and attendance systems
- Exposure to UKG/Kronos (highly regarded)
- A solid understanding of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and payroll compliance requirements
- The ability to manually calculate and validate payroll outcomes
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
