Job Description
The company: Appreciating Payroll has partnered exclusively with a leading outsourced payroll & accounting services provider who is steadily growing their client portfolio across Australia & New Zealand. They operate a flexible hybrid working model and provide lots of training, support & development for their staff. Due to growth, we are looking for a Payroll Manager to join permanently.
The role: Reporting to the Head of Client Services, as Payroll Manager, you will work alongside several other Payroll Managers and manage a team of approximately 6 Payroll/ Senior Payroll Officers. Your primary duties will focus on the support, coaching & development of your payroll team, but you will also keep your payroll skills sharp by running your own small portfolio of clients.
Key duties will include:
- Coach, mentor & manage a team of payroll processors
- Help team members progress to higher positions within the team
- Review team output prior to payment processing
- Ensure team KPI targets are reached daily
- Resolve escalated payroll queries when necessary
- Manage your own small portfolio of clients
- Reporting for management as required
The candidate: We are looking for an ambitious, motivated Payroll Supervisor/ Team Leader, ideally with previous experience in an outsourced payroll environment. You will have a genuine desire to mentor and motivate those around you and take pride in seeing your team develop professionally. Or, if you are currently a Senior Payroll Officer who trains and mentors lower-level colleagues, you are welcome to apply.
The offer: This is a permanent role paying up to $130,000 + Super + a bonus scheme (up to $10k annually) which totals $155k. The company works 3 days in the office, with 2 from home each week.
