Payroll Officer

Job Description

The Company: An established and growing business with over three decades of success in their field, this company operates across multiple sites nationally and provides essential services to a specialist industry. 

The Role:  
  • Process a small weekly payroll of 80 staff 
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy
  • Support the rollout of a new payroll platform across multiple business units
  • Manage calculations such as terminations, leave, and back pay
  • Provide reporting support to finance and operations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth processes and timely data flow
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and policies
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks and ongoing improvement projects.
The Candidate: 
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a payroll role
  • Confident in managing end-to-end payroll and interpreting employment legislation
  • Strong communicator who can engage effectively with colleagues at all levels
