Exciting Career Opportunity: Payroll Officer Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer will provide day-to-day support in payroll processing and employee administration. Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to payroll tickets and employee queries
- Entering and validating timesheets
- Assisting with onboarding new starters and processing terminations
- Updating employee records and contract changes in the system
- Supporting the payroll team with pay run preparation
- Assisting with superannuation, leave, and basic payroll adjustments
- Maintaining accurate filing and payroll documentation
- Providing general administrative support to the payroll function
The Candidate: The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, accuracy, and a willingness to learn. You will have:
- Around 1–2 years’ experience in payroll or a related administrative role
- Understanding of timesheets, leave, and payroll processes (training provided)
- Confidence using Excel and payroll/HR systems (or the ability to pick up new systems quickly)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Good communication skills and a helpful, team-focused approach
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop your payroll skills
