Job Description
The company: We have partnered with a global wholesale and distribution company, based in western Sydney, with an impressive year on year grwoth history. They have recently acquired a competitor and are currently amalgamating the payroll function.Due to increase in headcount a newly created Payroll officer position is now available.
- Key tasks of this role
- Setting up employees in systems, ensuring accurate on-boarding documents, award rates and other key information is captured in systems as appropriate
- Calculation of termination payments and entitlements as appropriate, coordinating the recovery of overpayments in line with company policies
- Updating employee salary entitlements as required, ensuring back dated changes are paid accordingly
- End to end payroll processing, including payment to employees and superannuation funds
- Quarterly superannuation reviews to ensure contributions are in line with legislation and super guarantee caps are not breached
- Employee administration including responding to queries as required
- End of cycle and month end reporting to finance teams
Qualifications and Experience - 2-3 years experience in a similar payroll
- Proficiency in excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Connx & Micropay experience preferred
