Job Description
This opportunity is ideal for a Payroll Manager dedicated to fostering a motivated team and maintaining flawless, on-time pay cycles. It is perfectly suited for professionals who prefer focusing on business-as-usual (BAU) operations rather than project management, as the Head of Payroll handles all major projects.
Reporting into a Head of Payroll with over 10 years of experience in the business, as Payroll Operations Manager, you will handle the following duties:
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the Aus & NZ payroll
- Train, mentor & upskill your team of 10 Payroll staff
- Work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure compliance is adhered to
- All payroll reporting & analysis requirements
- Look for process improvement opportunities across the Payroll function
Key requirements for this role include:
- Previous Payroll Management experience in a large, complex payroll environment (minimum 5,000 employees)
- Evidence of mentoring a team to achieve higher output
- A positive, can-do attitude and a smile every day
- Steady, long-term tenure in previous roles
- A high level of customer service & relationship-building skills
- Exceptional communication skills with all levels of colleagues
- Dayforce system experience is highly desirable (but not essential)
- New Zealand payroll experience is a must
Depending on your exact skills and suitable experience, a base salary between $160 - $190k + Super is on offer. The company works from their amazing CBD offices 4 days per week, with 1 day WFH.
