About the RoleA great opportunity has opened for an experienced Credit officer or Senior credit controller (Assets Specialist) to join a well-established organisation's recoveries function. Sitting within a small, focused team, you'll manage a portfolio of complex, higher-risk accounts and negotiate structured recovery outcomes directly with customers.
What You'll Be Doing - Managing a portfolio of complex, aged, or higher-risk accounts
- Negotiating payment plans and recovery arrangements
- Handling difficult conversations professionally, balancing firmness with fairness
- Assessing each account on its individual merits rather than a one-size-fits-all approach
- Working closely with the Recoveries Manager and wider specialist team
About You - Experience in credit control, collections, or recoveries within a complex or high-stakes environment
- Confident, firm negotiator who can also read nuance and context
- Comfortable managing difficult or sensitive conversations
- Background in banking, insurance, aged care, or similar sectors highly regarded
- A team player who thrives in a small, close-knit specialist function
What's On Offer - $90-110k Inclusive of Super
- 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH
- Melbourne based role
