About the Role Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, managing month-end close, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting.
This is a hands on role within a small, dynamic team where you’ll be closely involved in business critical processes and decision making support.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee general ledger accuracy and classification of transactions
- Prepare and post complex month end journals (accruals, tax, payroll, lease accounting, etc.)
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts including cash, WIP, fixed assets, and provisions
- Support statutory reporting and compliance with AASB and regulatory requirements
- Assist with external audits and ensure tax obligations (GST, FBT, BAS) are met
- Drive process improvement and reporting automation
- Collaborate with AP, AR, and Payroll teams to ensure integrity of financial data
- Provide financial support to operational and project teams
About You: - CA/CPA qualified (or near completion) with a relevant degree
- 5+ years of financial accounting experience, ideally in professional services or project based environments
- Strong technical grasp of AASB
- Confident managing month-end close and GL reconciliations
- High attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, MYOB Advanced)
- Excellent communication and business partnering abilities
