Senior Tax Manager – High-Impact, Strategic Role

Location: Sydney | Work Type: Full Time 
Salary: circa $200,000 package + bonus

Are you an experienced tax professional looking to step into a senior leadership role where your expertise will directly shape business strategy? This is a rare opportunity to lead the tax function for a fast-growing organisation in the property sector.

We are seeking a commercially minded Senior Tax Manager to drive tax compliance, strategy, and risk management across a national business. Reporting to the Head of Tax, this role offers exposure to senior executives, high-value projects, and the chance to contribute to future growth initiatives.

About the Role
  • Manage all areas of tax compliance – income tax, GST, stamp duty, land tax, payroll tax, and more
  • Oversee tax reporting and accounting under relevant standards
  • Deliver tax advisory on capital structuring, acquisitions, and new business ventures
  • Lead the response to tax legislative changes and identify business impacts
  • Build and manage relationships with ATO, external advisors, and auditors
  • Contribute to automation and continuous improvement across tax systems
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and investors on tax-related matters
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in senior tax roles (property sector experience desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax law and corporate tax principles
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a commercial mindset
  • Ability to simplify complex issues and communicate clearly at all levels
  • Hands-on approach with high attention to detail and process improvement
  • Experience working in fast-paced or large corporate environments
