Job Description
The company: We have partnered with a global wholesale and distribution company, based in western Sydney, with an impressive year on year growth history. Due to increase in headcount a newly created Payroll Team Lead position is now available.
The Role : - Oversee a team of three payroll officers, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Quarterly superannuation reviews to ensure contributions are in line with legislation and super guarantee caps are not breached
- End of cycle and month end reporting to finance teams
- Manage the annual payroll calendar, prioritizing tasks to meet all key deadlines efficiently.
- Collaborate with managers and personnel teams to support smooth onboarding and promptly resolve any employee matters.
- Setting up employees in systems, ensuring accurate on-boarding documents, award rates and other key information is captured in systems as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with all standard payroll procedures and internal guidelines.
- Coordinate end-to-end payroll operations on a fortnightly and monthly basis, including variance analysis and issue resolution.
- Manage annual salary adjustments and oversee the processing of profit share or bonus payments within agreed timelines.
Qualifications and Experience - Can-do attitude and keen to make a difference
- 2-3 years experience in a similar payroll
- Self-starter and ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player and a leader
- Attention to detail and quality assurance
- Highly proficient in Excel
